Pasta with Tuna SauceAngie Dellos -
Ingredient | | Olive oil | | Green Pepper | | Onion Flakes | | Garlic | | Parsley | | Salt and Pepper | | Tomato Paste | | Tomatoes | | Tuna | | Spaghetti |
| | Quantity | | 1/4 | cup | | 1/2 | chopped | | 1/2 | chopped | | 2 | cloves, sliced or mashed | | 1 | Tbsp. | | to tasteto taste | | 1 | small can | | 1 | can (28 oz.), about 3 1/2 cups | | 1/2 | can, or more (drain oil) | | 1 | lb. (may substitute Linguine) |

Instructions | In a frying pan, sauté oil, pepper, onion and garlic until limp or light brown. Add parsley, salt and pepper. Remove all but the oil and set aside. To the oil, add tomato paste. Cook about 5 minutes on medium. Meanwhile, whirl the tomatoes in the food processor so that all the tomatoes are broken up. Place in a saucepan and add the above ingredients to it. Cook for about 1 hour or until thickened, stirring occasionally. (You may add a little water if it gets too thick.) When the sauce is done, drain the oil from a can of tuna and add to the sauce. Cook another 5 minutes. Serve over Spaghetti or Linguine.\r |
